Sharing the path

Breakfast – fruit, yogurt and porridge with a drizzle of honey and Black Rory Whisky. That’s the way to start the day.

We got dropped off at the Anglers Arms where we stopped yesterday, and picked up the path.

We crossed the river, through the grasses, and across fields. This is path ahead.

A foot bridge crossing.

Crossing through fields of sheep.

Past old cottages.

Another foot bridge

Along the River Coquet.

Through the cows

Cows blocking the route – you shall not pass!

Then more sheep – the sheep scatter when we approach.

Arriving back in Rothbury, stopping for lunch, shopping (picked up a new pair of hiking pants), and buying 2 scones to have as a snack at the B & B.

Took a short cut back to our B&B, through the narrow nick, a local pointed it out to us.

Home again.

Tomorrow another long one and it starts out with a tough hill climb as we walk out of Rothbury.
