We listened to our inn keeper and took the 555 bus into Bowness, the route end. Dinner at the Hole in t’ Wall Shared a curry and A beer
September 5 – Howgill to Burneside
Bump in the road today! Over 14 miles, hot and sunny. Hard to follow the route Local farmer had bench and beverages for sale Boots were soaked from walking through the grass, had to change socks Finally arrived at our B and B, worn out. We needed a few rest days.
