September 3 – Ribblehead to Dent

10 miles today, nice weather, a bit of a hill and boggy to start but a good day walking. Somehow we got off the trail but a farmer set us straight, we were heading in the right direction but needed to take a left to get back on course.

The Shepherd’ Cottage was so good. Great food, great night’s sleep and a great host, Kate.

Breakfast – to start we had fresh fruit, juice, coffee and tea, brioche, yogurt and granola
Marilyn enjoyed her scrambled eggs on toast with mushrooms
