Markina to Gernika

We managed to make a 15.8 mile day into a 16.5 mile day – oops we made a wrong turn.

Sunny and chilly to start off, in the 40s.

Railings had the shell, symbol of the Camino. This is entering the town of Bolibar, the hometown of Simon Bolivar after whom Bolivia is named.

Walked around town a bit, saw the famous Basque Oak Tree where representatives from neighboring towns met to debate problems and make decisions.
