A tough 14.5 miles today, whew!

Breakfast was at 8:00 and we got going at 8:45. Beautiful sunny day, jackets came off as soon as we started our first mountain climb.

The trail is well marked.

Lots of animals today, horses, sheep, donkeys, chickens

We climbed and climbed and followed a ridge with awesome views of the coast

And lots of stairs, up and down.

And a short ferry ride

And then more stairs to get to the next summit

And then the path flattened out a bit

Stopped to smell the flowers

And then more climbing

And then views of the coast

Finally, San Sebastián coming into view after 8 hours on the trail

And then a long descent into town. We stopped at a bar for pintxos, tea and a coffee – we earned it.

Tomorrow is a shorter day, only 10 or so miles!
