Wall Walking

To get us going, we opted for a big bowl of porridge, fresh fruit, yoghurt, tea, and coffee.

The path kept us close to the Wall.

We reached the highest point on Hadrian’s Wall.

Up and down the crags.

Through lots of gates.

Walked past what remains of a turret – a watch tower along Hadrian’s Wall.

Looking back at a section of today’s walk and the crags. The tiny white dots at the bottom are sheep.

A section of the Wall

We arrived in Gilsland, stopping point for today, and found Meg’s Tea Room open – yeah!

Another half mile and we were at our B & B – Brookside Villa, shoes came off, and just hanging out until dinner (we’re having dinner here tonight).

For dinner, we shared Hummus and Pita Bread appetizer.

Main course – we shared Moroccan Roasted Vegetables which came with small green salad.

Tomorrow, weather outlook is not good. Rain and gale force winds.

Tomorrow is last day walking the Wall. Then we will take a bus to the Lake District and plan to take some short day walks
